What's the point of this? Isn't overchan still alive?
The director of the Strike Witches anime series is directing another series called Vividred Operation. The first episode had fanservice of the Strike Witches type but in smaller doses as opposed to the constant panty-shots of Strike Witches. I did however almost OD on moe in the first episode...Wikipedia:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vividred_OperationEpisode 1 (english subs):http://www.crunchyroll.com/vividred-operation/episode-1-first-operation-617611
Final Boss turning raven.
>>1075Final Boss turning raven.>>1076Yes that does happen.
What do you think about my idea:My idea is to buy or make tanks (preferably smaller ones) and then modify them to be armed with air-cannon capable of firing special projectiles (PVC pipe filled with dirt and wrapped in foam). The purpose of said tanks would be to play games similar to airsoft, with teams trying to outmaneuver one another and take out their enemies. Then charge X-amount for people who do not own a tank to rent one and participate (after a short training course).Use the guaranteed controversy on the news of sport tanks to help fuel our profits and eventually get sponsors. Then we could make it a national televised sport with large fanbases and everything, kinda like how paintball is but with tanks. It would also be possible to look into alternative fuels to help save on costs.
>>1052I was originally thinking of cheap surplus from cold-war but even still the costs of importing spare parts would get pretty bad, that and trying to get an import license for 10+ tanks with current govt paranoia. The idea of getting a fleet of soviet tanks is not a bad idea, just remove some of the extra crap from the inside and scale down the engine/armor to only what is needed. The sport would be spectator and held only during certain events/celebrations at first, as popularity increases it can become more frequent. Thanks for the input though, helps brainstorm.
sounds like fun, but if you're going all out, a tank that "shoots" propane fireballs and uses something like MILES would be even better.T-72 configuration with a driver, commander and gunner would be ideal IMO, since you aren't loading anything and the radio isn't a full-time job.
>>1054No MILES system, old surplus tanks will shoot old surplus ammo at eachother. Heaven or hell, winner takes all.
Anyone here play CosmicBreak? Its nothing like WoT but you can customize your robots textures and edit the polygons of their heads.Right now I'm trying to make a Strike Witch but for now I have this, "Michael Wittmann" a robot called "Cannonballer" that I reskinned.
I decided to dedicate my 86 to Helma.us Considering how much I love Initial D, it's strange that I would have painted it other than panda. Either way, a car I wanted to dedicate to this site.Sorry about the crap quality, I couldn't figure out how to get the actual picture off the xbox...
I would have to redo the car to put it up in the marketplace, silly Xbox live and screwing people who had accounts before getting on live...Oh well, I'll probably do a better version for the marketplace. Along with a DMC-12 that has a pixel prinny (disgaea) on the hood.If anyone here wants, I can tell you when I put them up so you can get one.
>>1029Thanks, I'm still kinda new to actually having an Xbox live account.
That's fuckin' neato. When I get a new car, that'll be the first paint-scheme I put on it.
How about a thread where we talk about who new witches should be based on.I would like to see a land-witch based on Günther Viezenz. He managed to kill 21 tanks by himself with handheld weapons throughout the war.
I've always thought that Keith Miller would make for a lively addition to the list.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Keith_Ross_Miller
>>106How is she not a witch yet.
>>1033Maybe she's famous for being non-witch pilot
How does the ban screen look on helma? Is it Strike Witchy? That would be nice.
>>1020Your efforts are much appreciated, this forum has given many a place to go and not get trolled to hell for liking an anime after next big thing comes.
>>1021No problem, I'm always checking the forums and more than willing to answer any questions.>>1022Thanks. Yeah, that's one of the main reasons I made this place. The old SW threads kept getting over-run by trolls, spammers, and dubs to the point that the threads were either getting deleted, or reaching the bump limit within an hour. Which was pretty aggravating at the time.I've still got the original backlash/debate thread hidden on the site, but I don't think I'm ever going to post a link it, just to avoid any unnecessary conflict.
Well I'm glad this place survived the rough times. It's nice to have a place to discuss SW. Most places don't have active communities and I hate 4chan anyway.
and now some Karlsland fighter.
Excerpt from interview with takamura in this month's nyantype. Pardon my N5 language skills.Q-Please tell us about yourself. When did you start thinking of drawing cute girls?A-I didnt make a conscious decision, but I think I started in grade school. I drew grafitti on tables, made manga and things like that, though I never really drew girls. In middle school I wanted to become a mangaka and even did submissions to Manga Awards. At that time I was greatly impacted by Studio Ghibli works and aspired to become an animator, thinking “I want to work with Miyazaki Hayao!” I took the entry exam to Studio Ghibli four times, and in the end, I ended up unfullfiled. And so, I entered Gainax. However, if I had worked at Ghibli the frustration in wanting to make works like “Strike Witches” and “Vivid Red” might have built up. That's why, it might have been for the best.
Another interesting tidbit is Takamura actually conceived Vividred before Strike Witches but couldn't start on it because of SW's popularity(2nd season, movie)So this show has the makings of Takamura's vision of what he really wants SW to be. Even if it isn't so, the SW we saw was probably influenced by Vividred
>>10032nd season.. not before the 1st season and that OVA that's already forgotten by all I assume. We already saw Humikane's Witches drawings as early as 2005. Although it was labelled as Mecha Musume.I'm betting Strike Witches came first.
>>1004Of course mecha musume and strike witches came first. I guess I phrased it a bit poorly. Takamura created Vividred before he took up strike witches. I could very well see him injecting bits of vividred into strike witches.
So yeah, Season 3 incoming.
Season 3 of what? Rozen Maiden?
Season 3 of cake, obviously.
