While RtB has come to an end, I hope there will be occasional bursts of SW love here. Replies: 11I've had an interesting idea in my head floating around the past few days.It would probably be as impossible for me to get into as much as the base game itself (but no less awesome) but what if there was a mod for Hearts of Iron III (or any other game in the Hearts of Iron series) that was based in the setting of Strike Witches?Imagine being at the helm of Gallia as you watch it fall apart under Neuroi assault, and after the initial assault, fight with the other nations to retake it with what little forces you have left.Imagine creating the various strike witch units and deploying them to where they would have the most effect. Imagine just deciding to fuck the world and declare war on other countries just to get some land because you're a crazy power hungry despot. Imagine the steep as fuck learning curve. Imagine the detail. I probably wouldn't be able to get into it, just like the other games in the series, but still, the potential. The potential is what is so great for me. What say you, everyone?

Specifically, the ones that the witches' striker units are based on?Example: Luchinni's unit in the series is based off of the Italian G.55 Centauro. The Centauro was a fairly good plane, produced side by side with the Macchi C.202 Folgore (Also a good plane). I personally love this plane, as well as the Folgore. Replies: 7What do you think about my idea:My idea is to buy or make tanks (preferably smaller ones) and then modify them to be armed with air-cannon capable of firing special projectiles (PVC pipe filled with dirt and wrapped in foam).The purpose of said tanks would be to play games similar to airsoft, with teams trying to outmaneuver one another and take out their enemies.Then charge X-amount for people who do not own a tank to rent one and participate (after a short training course).Use the guaranteed controversy on the news of sport tanks to help fuel our profits and eventually get sponsors. Then we could make it a national televised sport with large fanbases and everything, kinda like how paintball is but with tanks.It would also be possible to look into alternative fuels to help save on costs.

When did you start thinking of drawing cute girls?A-I didnt make a conscious decision, but I think I started in grade school. I drew grafitti on tables, made manga and things like that, though I never really drew girls. In middle school I wanted to become a mangaka and even did submissions to Manga Awards. At that time I was greatly impacted by Studio Ghibli works and aspired to become an animator, thinking “I want to work with Miyazaki Hayao!” I took the entry exam to Studio Ghibli four times, and in the end, I ended up unfullfiled. And so, I entered Gainax. However, if I had worked at Ghibli the frustration in wanting to make works like “Strike Witches” and “Vivid Red” might have built up. That's why, it might have been for the best.

Firstly, do we have any gamers here? Particularly those who participate in first person shooters? If so, wonderful, if not then oh well.Secondly, I'm to get to the point of the first inquiry now. The reason I ask is because of a wish I've had even before now, when I first watched Strike Witches and had, in the very least, Fallout 3. Of course now, I have Fallout New Vegas as well. Oh, and I really don't care about "lore" and what not, I just play it for the challenge and entertainment. You see, I wish that I could have some of, if not all of the girls of the 501st JFW or others as companions, or in the very least, have their weapons at my or other players' disposal. Do we have anyone here who might be capable of such a feat? Or possibly have the mod or mods in their private stocks?I'm thinking in fighting terms, not flying... I mean, you could add strikers and probably use the flight physics of the Mister Gutsy bots; hell, add a few custom animations and port it onto the flight physics of the Vertibirds (beware of Pika-Man type deformations if done improperly), they're VTOL capable!Think about it though... Shirley'd be good company in the Mojave, or she would do great in the DC ruins; Sakamoto's being in DC would be like a subtle revenge on real history, seeing as what happened to Fuso/Japan during the end of the Pacific Theater... Hell, there are times when I wouldn't have minded having Minna or Trude with their guns blazing when I moved through dangerous territories such as mutant-controlled areas. And having Sanya? One couldn't help but step in front of .308 rounds or, if in New Vegas for some reason, those of the Anti-Materiel rifle; this would go to Lynne, unless we were given a Boys A/T rifle.Can ANY of you help me? Willingly? I can't make mods, but others can.

The twist being that the girls are the actual ships as opposed to famous aces and the like.It follows the girl Yukikaze (based on the ship the Yukikaze, which never got hit during WWII), her friend shipgirls doing mecha girl like stuff and fighting shipgirls from ABDACOM. (Australia(!), America, England and the Netherlands(!)).

It was so-so until it reached the part wherein some random geeky guy with a bullcap handed a MG-42 to Mie Sonozaki, Gertrude's seiyuu. Maybe I'm just letting my brain fly to destinations unknown, but I have a strange gut feeling that glasses guy is Humikane. For an event staff, He's sitting too close to the seiyuus. Unless he was a person with significant importance to the whole Strike Witches franchise. Also that guy had a mic and probably gave some speech in the event too, just wasn't included.
